Die Intensiv- und Beghandlungspflege umfasst:

die Überwachung der invasiven oder nicht invasiven Beatmung
Versorgung des Tracheostomas
Trachealkanülenwechsel und Trachealkanülenmanagement
spezielle Krankenbeobachtung und Überwachung der Vitalwerte
Notfallversorgung
atemtherapeutische Maßnahmen
die Ernährung über PEG (Magensonde) oder PEJ (Dünndarmsonde)
fachgerechter Einsatz von medizinischen Hilfsmitteln
Wundversorgung und Verbandswechsel
Stellen und Verabreichen von Medikamenten
Prophylaxen (Vorbeugung)
Kommunikation und Begleitung zu Haus- und Fachärzten sowie die rechtzeitige
Anforderung von Verordnungen
Medizin- und Materialbestellungen
